RibbitRewards Starts Their Airdrop

Ribbit.me have launched the much anticipated airdrop of their RibbitRewards. The team experienced some set backs, and missed their initial launch on the 1st November 2014.

Marcia Danzeisen, CMO at Ribbit.me, explains the situation, “Our commitment to provide the maximum information security protection and greatest user experience possible caused us to delay the launch of our November airdrops,” Danzeisen told BNC, “We have implemented the most robust security infrastructure available. There is nothing more important to us than to protect secure information and to provide a user-friendly interface."

The team at Ribbit.me have been working tirelessly to ensure the product is the best it can be for the general public. Dennis informs BNC, that in his opinion the team have been doing an incredible job and pushing 18 to 20 hour days to ensure they are providing the best product possible.

The team at Ribbit.me aims to become a trusted partner for future business, with solid regulatory consideration  “We hope people appreciate that we’ve done so much to go out of our way. Although this may not be what the hardcore cryptocurrency fans may be interested in, it is imperative to the survival of mainstream cryptocurrency companies. This is blockchain technology for the masses and the team at Ribbit.me want to ensure they are, and always will be, legal.

Simon advises BNC that this is also a part of the reason it has taken some time to get the company up and running. The grey areas present in the cryptocurrency environment are hard to navigate and great lawyers, who are available in small numbers, are required in order to make ideas such as Ribbit.me a reality.

“We spent a lot of time choosing the right partners to work with us. It is a new space and a lot of payment processors weren’t familiar with it so it requires a lot of talking and education on our behalf as well. And then developing the right kind of relationships with people who want to move forward as well,” Dennis

Both Simon and Dennis speak highly of the forward thinking companies that have decided to join the Ribbit.me ride. For some, this will be their first experience in the cryptocurrency environment. The partners that have been announced so far cover all many areas: Payza for credit cards, SnapCard for cryptocurrency purchases, and ZipZap for cash and wire transfers.

“We’re really happy with our payment processing partners. They’ve allowed us to cover any way that people want to purchase,” Simon

The team at Ribbit.me will be converting all cryptocurrency into Bitcoin, choosing BitGo for their enterprise account.  The volatility of Bitcoin has been taken into consideration by using TeraExchange to hedge their Bitcoin holdings.

These partnerships are key for the up and coming release of Marketplace.life, which should be live just in time for Christmas. Simon and Dennis have advised that there should be something for everybody in the range of products they are offering.

“The timing is great. It accidentally happened. We didn’t sit down at the beginning of the year knowing it would take this amount of time,” Dennis

Considering the silly season, and free RibbitRewards accumulated by many from the airdrops, the team at Ribbit.me are paying close attention to the traffic received on their sites.

“We have sufficient capacity to handle large crowds coming in all at once. We are prepared for that. We are working with programs and have two security officers as well, there is someone online 24 hours a day monitoring the spikes and for any attacks and things like that. If excess amount of customers do happen to come in and crash it, it does mean that we are doing something right,” Dennis

The Airdrop is attracting a lot of positive feedback, and in the first 48 hours, Simon and Dennis report that they have already received over 1000 sign ups.  This is great news considering they are yet to roll out some very exciting and fun marketing campaigns designed by Danzeisen.

“People are slowly coming on board for the free airdrop and people are working out what they want to do in regards to purchasing from the paid airdrop running concurrently,” Dennis

There is just under a month left to go on the Airdrop, and although the team at Ribbit.me celebrated the launch with some much deserved sleep, they advise that the real celebration will be at the Dubai Bitcoin Conference taking place on the 12th and 13th December. As being the top tiered sponsor, they have reserved the last night for a Ribbit.me celebration countdown party and a final push for signups to the RibbitReward program.

“We are targeting quite a few different crowds; the crypto world, the tech world and the mainstream world as well. It will be fun to see what percentages of types of people join up. Whether we do attract still mostly crypto world or if we do manage to break out and achieve our aims of bringing the rest of the world into it as well. Whether they see it as a cryptocurrency and blockchain technology or whether they will see it as something they want to be part of and think that it is going to be huge. It will be interesting.”

Dennis and Simon told BNC that there are many more exciting aspects still to be announced. The progression of this novel idea is certainly something to be watched.
