Zcash (ZEC) Price Prediction: Can a Falling Wedge Breakout Send ZEC Toward $750?

Zcash (ZEC) is approaching a crucial technical juncture as a short-term falling wedge raises hopes of a breakout that could propel the cryptocurrency back toward the $680-$750 resistance zone.
The setup comes as ZEC prepares for the Ironwood network upgrade, scheduled for July 28 at block height 3,428,143. The upgrade, also known as NU6.3, is designed to retire the existing Orchard shielded pool and introduce a new pool with a corrected circuit following the discovery of a critical vulnerability. The change is intended to strengthen the network’s security and help determine whether the flaw was ever exploited.
ZEC Price Forms Falling Wedge Near $477 Support
Crypto analyst Crypto With Gopal recently pointed to a falling wedge formation on the ZEC one-hour chart. According to the analysis, the pattern is developing around the $477 support area, with sellers losing momentum as buyers defend the lower boundary.

The analyst described the setup as one in which “sellers are losing momentum while buyers continue defending the lower trendline.” The observation suggests that ZEC is entering a period of price compression, although a bullish resolution has not yet been confirmed.
For the Zcash price prediction, the key technical event would be a decisive move above the wedge’s upper trendline. Such a breakout would need to be supported by stronger trading volume to provide greater confirmation that demand is returning to the market.
A failure to hold the lower trendline, meanwhile, could invalidate the near-term bullish setup and expose ZEC to another round of selling pressure.
Zcash Price Prediction: $680-$750 Resistance Remains Key
A broader technical view from analyst @0xVertix identifies a much larger resistance zone between $680 and $750. The analyst argues that ZEC has established a series of higher lows after recovering from its macro lows, indicating improving market structure.
“Price continues to print higher lows, showing that buyers remain in control,” the analyst wrote.

However, the $680-$750 region remains a significant hurdle. According to the analysis, the zone has previously rejected ZEC price advances, making it an important area for traders monitoring a potential continuation of the uptrend.
A sustained weekly close above this range would provide stronger technical confirmation than a brief intraday move. If the area were subsequently converted into support, it could change the market structure and leave ZEC with fewer historical resistance levels overhead.
The analyst has suggested that such a breakout could eventually open the way toward the $1,300-$1,400 region under favorable market conditions. That remains a technical projection rather than an established price target, and reaching it would require a sustained increase in demand and supportive conditions across the broader cryptocurrency market.
TradingView Signals Remain Neutral
Despite the bullish patterns highlighted by individual analysts, the broader technical picture remains less decisive.
The TradingView technical snapshot supplied for ZECUSDT showed an overall Neutral rating, with both the oscillator and moving-average categories also marked Neutral. However, the snapshot contained unavailable values for individual indicators, including the RSI, MACD, ADX and Stochastic RSI, as well as the listed moving averages and pivot levels.

This limits the usefulness of the aggregate reading. Without current indicator values, it is not possible to determine from that snapshot whether momentum is strengthening or weakening based on standard measures such as RSI or MACD.
The absence of populated pivot levels also makes it difficult to establish precise short-term support and resistance targets from that dataset alone. As a result, the falling wedge and broader resistance zones should be treated as chart-based observations rather than confirmed signals.
A more meaningful shift in the technical outlook would likely require fresh market data showing a breakout accompanied by higher volume and improving momentum indicators.
Can ZEC Reach $750?
From a technical perspective, ZEC faces several stages before a move toward $750 can be considered confirmed.
The first test is the falling wedge resistance identified on the one-hour chart. A successful breakout could strengthen the short-term structure, but ZEC would then need to overcome the broader resistance zone around $680-$750.
A decisive weekly breakout above that area would represent a more significant technical development. Conversely, repeated rejection near resistance could keep ZEC within a broader range and undermine the bullish scenario.
For now, the Zcash price prediction remains conditional. The falling wedge offers a potential bullish setup, while the neutral TradingView snapshot highlights the lack of broad technical confirmation. With the Ironwood upgrade approaching on July 28, ZEC is entering a period in which both technical signals and network developments could influence market sentiment.
The most important levels to monitor are therefore the $477 support area, the $680-$750 resistance zone, and any breakout supported by meaningful volume. Until those levels are decisively breached, the case for a sustained move toward $750 remains a possibility rather than a confirmed trend.
