Rory Manchee

As a problem-solver, analyst, and thought leader, Rory applies creative and innovative solutions to deliver solid results. He is an excellent communicator, willing to express his views in order to drive outcomes, overcome objections, increase productivity and improve efficiency. Rory specialises in helping organisations with strategy, business development, commercialisation and product management. His core value is to bring an external, usually customer-centric perspective, combined with a natural curiosity for how things work, and a knack for taking something apart to see how it can be put back together - better, stronger and more sustainable. Rory has held senior executive roles and leadership positions for large organisations in the publishing industry, supplying information and data solutions for business specialising in law, tax, accounting, banking, funds management and the financial services markets. He was responsible for strategic project governance around M&A and divestments, and for opening up new markets. Rory is a Graduate of the AICD, having also held non-executive director and advisory board positions for private companies, a NFP organisation and voluntary groups. He has also worked with clients in the Victorian public sector and Government departments. Recent engagements include Chair of the advisory board for a tech startup, and pop-up boards for SME's. Throughout his career, Rory has been deeply involved in initiatives and transformation projects to achieve outcomes in: organisational change and business performance improvement; redesign the business architecture and restructure the operating model; and implement change strategy and stakeholder management - underpinned by the need for sustainable and practical commercial outcomes. Rory was responsible for a greenfield business in Asia, a role requiring much self-reliance and independent management, strong advocacy and business case development, that successfully delivered inaugural products on Chinese law.
