DASH (DASH) is a cryptocurrency with optional privacy features and a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) for governance. The DASH chain is a Bitcoin fork created by Evan Duffield in January 2014. The project was originally known as XCoin, was subsequently rebranded to DarkCoin, and ultimately named DASH, and described as Digital Cash, in 2015.
