Gold Price Holds $4,050 Zone as Bulls Watch Recovery Structure After Pullback

The gold price has stabilized at around $4,070 following a recent dip in value. Traders are keen to see if gold could maintain support above this level after the current consolidating formation.

The charts reflect a current pause in selling after a slight slide from earlier highs, with prices remaining on support following an initial correction.

Currently, spot gold trades just over $4,070 on the daily chart, as per TradingView data. Prices had a notable dip on Tuesday with significant selling, which subsequently found temporary support following a correction that erased profits on gold for much of this week of action on prices in relation to its high earlier this year of $4098 or so.

Traders expect to see continued activity around current levels as the bears and bulls begin a tussle to dominate current chart position prices within this range of trading value. Traders look for either some form of breakdown on values at these levels or continued sideways ranging behavior for the time being. Price Resumes Recovery at $4050. Gold price is recovering from $4,050, following Tuesday’s sharper correction from earlier high figures.

Gold Retests Support After Recent Pullback

On the daily chart, gold is moving towards $4070 and a key recovery signal of holding above $4050 before being prepared for tests into the $4116 and above region of market price on charts.

“Back towards the 4070 as predicted”—analyst Mlia had earlier expressed the opinion on X with a buy limit sell order below prices before the market push and hold at the aforementioned price level. “Keep an eye on Gold’s price correction targeting the 4060 – 4050 zone,” he added later, reflecting on his initial buy setup.

Gold Retests Support After Recent Pullback

BANG on X shared a diagram also, highlighting gold retracement into an area from which prior levels could push again. “The gold has completed its first take at the area of targets,” he shared before prices pushed off of the near 4050-4040 area. In recent days, gold witnessed a substantial surge that now has begun to be tested, which has kept prices relatively range-bound for much of this week thus far after significant value gained over previous months of last year.

Technical Indicators Show Stabilizing Momentum

The daily chart on gold features developing momentum according to current TA readouts on most key metrics. First off, both MACD indicator lines and MACD histograms have moved up after holding ground and crossing over earlier.

In addition, the MACD value crossed back above the signal line on Wednesday, while having recently traded below that line after a prior upward-moving pattern was stalled earlier in July.

Technical Indicators Show Stabilizing Momentum

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) on the daily TF now seems poised to hold near 47, indicating that though gold continues trading below 50, it’s showing positive movement that keeps gold from testing the 30 level as yet.

As many as seven prior readings below 40, indicating potential support, yet that did not happen on Tuesday.

Gold appears to now be in a consolidation trend, pending market events. Volume shows increasing market participation with major chart pushes and corrections.

Resistance Levels Remain Near $4,110 Area

Meanwhile, the next resistance level can be considered in the $4,116-$4,110 area, which price recently struggled to overcome, according to charts shared on X.

Trading will hinge on whether the market can support values above the lower range bound and ultimately push through that level if price momentum continues on this positive recovery curve. Key support will be at $4050.

Resistance Levels Remain Near $4,110 Area

The support price range on gold will remain from $4,060 down to the 4050 level. Holding above 4,060 means a continued attempt to hold $4070 and above prices.

Gold is a buy from 4060 if resistance holds, but a short if it drops below the price of $4050, as it indicates trend continuation for the downtrend.

Prices are back to consolidating again between 4050 and 4100 after seeing sharp rallies and selloffs throughout the recent period and are currently trading around $4,076.
