What is the Pieme app all about?

People can use the Pieme app to host meals or gatherings, search for meals or events, or custom order a meal. Aside from that, users can use the app to freely share photos and talk.

Pieme is a one-of-a-kind platform that connects individuals with authentic home-cooked local food created by members of the community. Pieme’s goal is to give a platform for individuals to connect over their mutual love of food.

Pieme connects chefs/hosts directly with customers/guests, making it ideal for planning a dinner that everyone will love, both the chef and the customer.

How to Host on the Pieme app

Hosting meals on Pieme is simple and engaging. It allows you to meet new people and stay connected to your community.

To host a meal, open the app and go to the Host section. There are two options: Meal and Event. Choose Meal.

Go to the Add Meal page by pressing the + button.

Follow the instructions on the page from here, it is pretty self-explanatory.

You will have to provide information such as the meal title, number of people you can host the meal for, currency you want to receive the payment in, etc.

Furthermore, you have to set the meal price per person, as well as a short meal description.

After you are done with filling up all of the information,you just click the ‘Add Meal’ button.

Everyone in your vicinity can see your offer and request an order.

Hosts can opt to either accept or reject the guest.

If the host accepts the order, they are automatically connected to the guest on Pieme chat, where the parties can arrange the meal and discuss whatever they think needs to be addressed.

In case a user wants to find the meal instead of hosting it, they can easily do so by navigating to the guest section for searching meals.

All nearby available meals will be displayed. You can search by price, distance, food category, and food popularity; all of these filters are available to make your search more convenient and enjoyable.

Once the guest sends an order for a meal, they automatically get connected to the host if the host accepts their order.

On top of this, guests can also custom order meals, where hosts get notified on their meal, and can offer to make it for the guest if they want to.

About Pieme & the PIE Token

Pieme is a decentralized social platform that connects people to authentic home-cooked local dishes. Meals are prepared by individuals from their homes, then offered to people in the surrounding communities. The platform aims to help people connect through their shared love for authentic home-cooked local food.

PIE token is a crypto payment option that will exclusively be used to pay for services on Pieme, such as paying for meals, booking event tickets, and advertising fees.

Rewards here go both ways. The host gets to make money from the comfort of their home, doing something they like (cooking), while guests get to enjoy healthy traditional local homemade dishes at low prices.

The introduction of the PIE token on Pieme will greatly reduce the overall cost of meals. Existing centralized platforms use traditional payment systems that involve multiple intermediaries, which add up to costs that customers and restaurants pay on top of the actual cost of food.

To incentivize the use of the PIE token, Piemates will be rewarded with PIE tokens for engaging in different activities, such as, hosting meals and events, making payments using the PIE token, and staking, among others.
