In a historic turn of events, Bitcoin has shattered the $100,000 barrier, reaching an all-time high of over $103,000. No one is happier than Donald Trump, and HODLERS everywhere.
President-elect Donald Trump took to Truth Social to celebrate the milestone, posting, “CONGRATULATIONS BITCOINERS!!! $100,000!!! YOU’RE WELCOME!!! Together, we will Make America Great Again!”
This surge is largely attributed to Trump’s pro-crypto stance during his campaign, where he pledged to make the U.S. the “crypto capital of the planet” and proposed creating a strategic Bitcoin reserve. His nomination of Paul Atkins, a known cryptocurrency advocate, to lead the Securities and Exchange Commission, replacing the stringent Gary Gensler, has further fueled investor optimism.
The market’s response has been overwhelmingly positive, with Bitcoin’s value climbing from approximately $69,000 on Election Day to its current peak. Analysts predict this momentum could propel Bitcoin to $200,000 by late 2025, viewing it as a potential replacement for gold in the long term.
