Daniel is actively involved in the DeFi ecosystem as an early-stage strategic advisor and angel investor. Previously, Daniel founded and exited a software start-up and formerly served in corporate finance advisory roles, including portfolio management for multibillion-dollar portfolios for various public sector clients.

Liquid staking allows users to stake their ETH to earn rewards while using their ETH in DeFi applications simultaneously. Daniel highlights that Ethereum staking is growing but has great potential for further adoption. Swell has seen significant growth with 45,000 ETH ($80 million USD) being staked and over 10,000 unique wallets participating in their protocol. The success can be attributed to innovative features like gamified incentivization through "Pearls" and community engagement through events called Voyages.
